Jomakhata is a retail point-of-sale (POS), digital ledger (Baki Khata), and business management application engineered for retail merchants, small shopkeepers, and micro-entrepreneurs.

This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding the collection, storage, use, and protection of information when you use our mobile application and related web services. We are dedicated to ensuring that your personal and financial business records remain private, confidential, and completely within your control.

2. Offline-First Architecture & Local Data Storage

Jomakhata is built with an Offline-First architecture powered by local SQLite on your device:

• Local Storage by Default: Your product catalog, customer debts, supplier payables, sales transactions, and daily cash ledgers are stored locally on your device in an encrypted local database.
• No Mandatory Cloud Upload: Core features do not require an active internet connection and function 100% offline.
• Optional Cloud Sync: If you explicitly enable multi-device sync or Google Drive cloud backup, your data is securely transmitted over TLS 1.3 encryption and stored in secure cloud infrastructure.

4. WhatsApp & SMS Tagada (Reminder) Integration

When you dispatch a payment reminder (তাগাদা) to a customer, Jomakhata generates a pre-formatted polite Bengali reminder text with the customer's balance details and passes it via standard Android Intents directly to WhatsApp or your default SMS app. You retain complete transparency and control over when messages are dispatched; no automated background SMS is sent without user initiation.

5. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA Compliance)

Jomakhata is a retail business tool designed solely for commercial business operators aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under the age of 13.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion Requests

You have the absolute right to delete all your personal and business data at any time:

• Local Device Deletion: You can wipe all stored products, transactions, and customer records directly via Settings → Data Management → Clear Local Database, or by clearing the app data via Android Settings.
• Cloud Account Deletion: To request the complete purge of any cloud-backed accounts or backups, submit a deletion request to support@tashanto.com with your registered phone number/email. Your cloud data will be irreversibly erased within 7 business days.
